HAND MOULDING

Arvika Handformningsgjuteri is an integrated part of Arvika Gjuteri, with a focus on products for prototypes and spare parts in grey and nodular iron. The operation was founded in 1993, initially as an independent company and then integrated as part of the foundry. Thanks to its flexibility, the hand moulding foundry can assist customers in an area where machine moulding is unable to offer the same opportunities.

Production focuses on one-piece and short-run production with an annual capacity of approximately 120-170 tonnes, and the capability to mould components weighing up to 500 kg. Casting is carried out in moulds made from Furan sand with core production in cold box or hot box.

Customers are primarily found in the heavy vehicle and engineering industries, and typical products include exhaust manifolds, fasteners, and pump and thermostat housings.
